Fort Lawton Redevelopment
This site analysis report examines the proposed redevelopment of Fort Lawton, a 34-acre former military installation located within Seattle’s Discovery Park. The project aims to transform the site into a mixed-income residential neighborhood with a strong emphasis on affordable housing for Native American communities, low-income families, elders, and veterans. The analysis is grounded in the site's complex historical, environmental, and social contexts, including its Indigenous significance, environmental constraints, and zoning regulations, while assessing the practical challenges and opportunities associated with redevelopment. Drawing on historical documentation, site visits, and policy reviews, this report provides a comprehensive foundation for informed, equitable, and context-sensitive urban design at Fort Lawton.
Mukilteo Community Mapping
This report presents the outcomes of a collaborative project between the City of Mukilteo and myself, along with a team of peers from Community, Environment, and Planning.. The project focuses on enhancing the Digital Mukilteo Historical Walking Map to reflect the city’s cultural, recreational, and historical richness. Through extensive community engagement, site analysis, and strategic outreach, my team aimed to develop a more inclusive and engaging map that highlights both well-known and underrepresented community landmarks. The project’s broader goals included increasing civic engagement, supporting local tourism, and providing the City with actionable recommendations for long-term map development and marketing strategies.
